Hi! Since I had the day off work yesterday (Sunday) and the weather was unusually sunny, it would have been rude not to take my dog to the beach, although I was still surprised to see that the place was covered in other dog walkers who had the same idea. I still wrapped up obviously but after 10 minutes I realised I needn’t have bothered!
Puffer jacket- New Look £39.99
Scarf- Top Shop £14.99
Top and jeans- New Look (purchased a while ago)
Bag- New Look £19.99
After having a walk along the beach and trying to get Neo used to the water (he wasn’t having any of it) we headed for a Minchellas for a hot chocolate. From there we headed to the cliff area and Gypsies Green which is also a great place to let your dog run around off the lead as there is a huge area of greenery in between the cliff edges and the road leading to Marsden! Here’s a couple of snaps & thanks for reading.
Hello! So basically, I was watching Leanne Lim Walker’s ‘How to grow your hair & nails longer fast’ Youtube video that she made in response to all of the questions about how she grows her hair and nails long and healthy, as you may have guessed. Since she looks so amazing and I am so desperate, I went to purchase some immediately. Holland and Barret is the place that she recommended and so off I went to the Intu Metrocentre store and got 2 bottles of the ‘1000’ mg strength tablets that were currently on offer for half price at £6.99 each! They also had some of the 300 mg strength ones in the penny sale but I think I need all the help I can get to be honest.
As you can see my hair is layered and the longest section falls just above my bra strap, which may not sound mega short to some people, but after wearing different forms of extensions for around 8 years, not going to lie but I feel a little bit like a boy! I don’t particularly mind my current length as such, although I would prefer my layers to grow out to the same length for a thicker look, but my barnett could definitely do with some extra TLC after all of those glues and beads I used to use.
The back of the bottle advises that you can take 1-2/day but doesn’t specify how long you should be using the product before you will notice a difference. I will personally be taking two a day, starting from today (27.11.16), and since there are 100 tablets in a bottle I should be getting over three months worth. Depending on how noticeable the results are, I will maybe post an update in about 6 weeks to give them some time to kick in. Fingers crossed! Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts if you’ve tried Biotin or something similar!
Hi! So, I’m not quite sure why/how I’ve reached November 2016 and not tried any NYX make-up, especially since I’ve heard nothing but positive things about the ‘budget brand’. I think people are referring to it as this because some of the products are amazing dupes for the pricier Kylie Jenner range, particularly the lip glosses. However, I think I might finally be down with the kids now, as I purchased a few things from the Boots store in Eldon Square in Newcastle…
Firstly, I opted for this foundation in particular as I have been using the Maybelline ‘FIT ME Matte + Poreless’, which is great for my skin that is generally quite oily (the joys), as it does what it says on the tin- mattifies and reduces the look of my pores and scarring. I was pleasantly surprised that the NYX foundation does much the same thing but I personally find that the same amount goes further on my face and is slightly more buildable- and all for a couple of pound extra at £10. I chose a light/medium cool tone as I have yellowy/olive undertone to my skin and I love how true the pigments are so I will be purchasing more shades in the future!
The Highlight and Contour duo stick is very much like having two contrasting concealers-which is a positive as they are easy to apply for someone that is fairly new to the contouring game, plus there is a little example photo on the box which demonstrates where to use the different shades for the best result. I find that the darker shade is harder to blend as I’ve tried with both my fingers and a brush, however the highlighter is great for around the eye area and does seem to brighten it. For some reason it hasn’t shown up in photos too much which tells me that you will probably have to go in quite heavy with this product for the full efffect.
The ‘HD’ finishing powder is very fine, pure white powder which claims that it does not affect the colour of your foundation, even if you have darker skin. However, I mentioned earlier that my skin and foundation is usually yellow toned, after applying this powder my skin definitely has a chalky/talc powder sort of look. This being said, it also does mattify and set your foundation and I will still be using this powder either just in the ‘highlight’ areas or for paler make-up looks!
Last but not least, the ‘Cosmic Metals’ lip cream- I would firstly describe more as a gloss as it has that sticky feel and I find it slips out of place even with liner on. However, the pigment is amazing and this particular colour gives an orangey, reddish, bronzy effect, which is actually something that I would prefer on my eyes (I’m pretty sure people actually use this for a metallic eye)! Overall, great product for those who are more daring with their make-up, whereas I think I prefer/suit a more natural look so will stick to dabbing this onto my eyelids for a more subtle bronzed feel.
On an end note, I personally think that these products are a great buy for the price and quality and I literally cannot wait to get back to the Boots store in Newcastle and pick up some of the lip lingerie’s, eye shadows and more foundation! Thanks for reading-
